82 years, passed peacefully on Sunday October 25, 2020 at the Leamington Sun Parlor Home for Senior Citizens. Loving Son of the late Jim and Nancy Joyes. Beloved husband of Lela Joyes. Cherished father of Bob Joyes, and Bill (Susan) Joyes. Adored Grandfather of Megan Joyes (Adam), Mathew Joyes, Stephen Joyes, and Corey Joyes. Loved Great-Grandfather of Isabelle Arts. Survived by his brother Neil ( Heather) Joyes and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his Sister Agnes (Ray) Holland. Jerry enjoyed being with family, wood working and eating butter tarts. Allthough his profession was in sales and marketing he considered his job in life to inform and entertain all. Before moving to Kingsville Jerry enjoyed sunsets and feeding his chipmunks in Oliphant Ontario. The family wishes to thank the staff of 3 East and 1 West at the Leamington Sun parlor Home for their wonderful care and many thanks to Jean and Rick Ruszczak for providing so much support and care. Family and friends will be received at the Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Ave. E., Es (519-776-4233) on Wednesday October 28, 2020 from 1pm. until the Funeral Service to celebrate Jerry’s life at 2p.m. Keeping in Jerry’s wishes please wear Plaid shirts! Due to COVID restrictions, Visitation and Service are limited to a specific number of visitors at a time. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in. Please book an appointment online at www.reidfuneralhome.ca to secure a designated time to pay your respects and attend the Service. EVERYONE must wear a mask. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor Es or the Sun Parlor Home Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
