Obituary of Jerlene Dorothy Loretta Clemence
It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to our wonderful mother and sister who passed away peacefully from cancer on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Jerlene was predeceased by her husband Donald; parents Carl and Adeline Brodt; and son Kevin. She is survived by her loving sons Trevor (Misty), and Blair; sisters Carolyn Zimbaluk, Ruth (Wayne) Hamann; granddaughters Shanae and Kaylyn; as well as loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Our mother was a strong woman who had to endure many personal and private hardships throughout her lifetime. She was the glue that held our families together. She was always kind, generous and honest to all who knew her. She loved her family and enjoyed keeping up with old friends. Her grandchildren also brought great joy to her life. Her interests outside of her family were many and varied including curling, the Riders and the Blue Jays. When she wasn’t keeping up with sports, she enjoyed nature, listening to birdcalls and playing games on her iPad.
As per Jerlene’s request there will be no formal funeral. Instead, there will be a small family gathering at Riverside Memorial Park cemetery. Many thanks to the palliative care staff at the Pasqua Hospital and William Booth Hospice for all of their care and support during this difficult time.
