Obituary
It is with extreme sadness and with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, Jennifer Nelson who passed quietly and peacefully on January 25, 2020. Jennifer touched many hearts during her short time with us and we will always cherish our memories of her in our lives.
Jennifer leaves behind to mourn her mom and dad Kyle and Lynda (Mallette) Nelson, grandparents Paul Mallette as well as Lise Champagne and Germain Therieault, her step grandfather. She also leaves behind her Aunt and Uncle Shelley (Nelson) and Darcy Kritzer. Jennifer is predeceased by her grandparents Leonard and Marian (Lundquist) Nelson and her Uncle Kirk Nelson aka “Cookie”. She also leaves behind many cousins, great cousins as well as great Aunts and great Uncles who live in and around Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal regions.
There will be a celebration of Jennifer’s life Saturday, February 15th, at St. David’s United Church in Leduc, Alberta at 2:00 pm with refreshments to follow.
Jennifer was full of love and was a super a hard worker taking on a variety of trades along the way and hoping that one day she would find herself living in the Yukon or Northwest Territories as she loved the north. Her passion however, was with her animals; Amelia her dog and Candy her cat. She had Patches and Roy, horses that she once owned but continued to cherish. Jen’s calling however seemed to be with the Northern Lights Fire Department working as a volunteer / on-call fire fighter and working with Horse Rescue societies saving many horses at auctions that were destined for slaughter.
Rest in peace our sweet Angel. You will be forever in our hearts!
