Obituary of Jeffrey Walter Mouzar
June 29th, 1960 – May 31st, 2020
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we, the family of Jeffrey Walter Mouzar, announce his passing. Son of the late Walter Mouzar, he leaves behind his beloved mother Hazel and sisters Janice and Julie.
Jeff was married on the 30th day of September 1989 to the love of his life, Sylvia Mosher (known to him as “My Love”). After four years of marriage, a shining, beaming light came into their lives. A daughter, Kelcey Lynn. Two years later, another beautiful light arrived. A boy, Nicholas Jeffrey. Being a father was the biggest joy in Jeff’s life.
Besides being a loving husband and a phenomenal dad, Jeff was a dedicated and loyal employee to ECOLAB for 33 years. During this time Jeff was recognized for his outstanding work and received many awards throughout his career. Jeff will be missed by his many loyal customers and colleagues, who were more than just co-workers and customers. They were great friends who lasted a lifetime.
Jeff will leave a huge void in the hearts of many, especially his loving family. There are numerous precious memories for us all, particularly for Kelcey and Nicholas: stargazing on a clear night, looking up at the heavens above with both of his children by his side, many camping excursions at Keji and family vacations. Jeff and Nicholas planned their yearly Father & Son motorcycle trip to Nova Scotia in order to spend time visiting with friends and family, enjoying the beautiful scenery on their journey. With Kelcey, the Father & Daughter annual Christmas run, delivering Christmas gifts to family in Lunenburg and Liverpool . From swimming lessons and duets with Kelcey at her annual piano recitals, to hockey and guitar lessons with Nicholas, Jeff was always involved in the kid’s activities. He was so proud of them and of the wonderful adults they have become, his shining lights.
Jeff will be remembered by many as a prankster, telling jokes with such jest, for his annual Halloween messages on the family answering machine, and the wild stories of his youth. But mostly we will remember him as the wonderful, caring, and loving man that he was. Jeff had an undeniably profound impact on every person he met, his capacity to care for the people in his life and his generous spirit cannot be put into words. The many people whose lives he has touched, however briefly, understand how special and one of a kind he was.
The following are Jeff’s words that he wrote during treatment.
Spirit of Life
I’ve always lived my life full of life
Never making it full of toil and strife
Full of spirit in my life for ever
A good life goes slow, not too fast, never
That’s my view, one foot in front of the other
An experience in life, for me, just another.
My experience has changed over the past four months
Who would have ever imagined being so blunt
My appreciation for the spirit of life has changed
It has taken on a whole new wonderful range
With my family and new people I’ve met
I love who I am and who I’m with
So goes the spirit of life.
A very special thank you to all of Jeff’s doctors, particularly his family doctor Dr. Frank, the Extramural Team and Tanya, the oncology/radiology team in Saint John, the palliative care and hospice doctors and nurses, and Dr. Gupta who visited with Jeff daily with her uplifting spirit.
Due to the current health situation there will be no services at this time; a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Foundation-Palliative Care, Hospice Fredericton or the Fredericton SPCA. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
An Angel whispered

  1. So sad to hear of Jeff’s passing, my condolences go out to his family.

It was a pleasure knowing jeff since the utmost beginning of my career as a chef when he came to teach me and my fellow classmates about Ecolab. 33 years on the job and never once did i hear him say he didn’t love it! Throughout my jobs in kitchens across New Brunswick Jeff was a familiar face I always looked forward to seeing he brought smiles to the entire team and brightened up everyone’s day. From stories of his motorcycle trips with his son to babysitting Kelsey’s dog with “his love” he always had a great personal anecdote or family photos to make us laugh.

A long standing saying we had at place i once worked was “When Jeff walks into an establishment productivity goes down 110% but moral sure goes way way up and the job is always done 110%”

There is no man i have met in my career that will ever compare to Jeff.

    He will be greatly missed.
