Obituary of Jeffrey Allen Donovan
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Jeffrey Allen Donovan announces his passing on December 14, 2020 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He died at the age of 42 surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Saint John, NB he was the son of John and Joan (Whalen) Donovan, and the brother of Gregory (Ashley) Donovan, Christine (Michael) Donovan, and Katherine (Brian) Donovan.
In addition to his immediate family, Jeff leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephew, Zoey, Olivia and Oliver, and his many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Jeff enjoyed Fridays at the mall and Sunday lunches with his family, visiting Christine in Hong Kong, and travelling to see Pearl Jam throughout North America. He also enjoyed hiking the RNS/Spyglass trails, the thrill of roller coasters, and engaging with the WOW community.
Jeff was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Henry and Elsie Whalen, and George and Hughena Donovan.
At Jeff’s request, there will be no service. Instead, he has asked that friends and loved ones visit a theme park when they are able. Whenever you ride a rollercoaster, he will be there. Arrangements under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). Donations in memory of Jeff may be made to the New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program, Pancreatic Cancer Canada, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
