Obituary of Jefferey Ford Lamont
After a stoic yet brief battle with cancer, Jefferey Ford Lamont, born July 20, 1962 died peacefully at Chatham Hospice, March 18, 2020, with his loving family at his side.
The son of the late Jack and Audrey (Ford)Lamont, Jeff is survived by his brother and three sisters; John and Heather Lamont of Tillsonburg, Pam and Ken Golish of Windsor, Beth and Gerard Thibodeau of Tilbury, Trish and Ken Bolohan of Tilbury, his aunts Judy Vertz of Tilbury, Nonnie Butson of London, and Uncle Bob Lamont (Joyce) of Kemptville, ten nieces and nephews, four grand nieces and a grand nephew, and several special cousins.
Jeff was a graduate of Tilbury High School and Sault College where he earned his pilot licence. Jeff worked 27 years at Meritor in Tilbury and cared for his ailing parents Jack and Audrey, from 2010 until 2017, then enjoyed his work and colleagues at RS Technologies as late as December 2019.
Jeff loved the quiet solitude and friendships at the family cottage on Horwood Lake and the game of golf. He maintained his sense of humour right to the end.
The family also express their gratitude to the special healthcare workers in Chatham and London hospitals and at the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
