Obituary of Jean Thelma Ackerley
With sadness, the family of Jean Ackerley, wife of the late James Ackerley, announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Shannex-Tucker Hall. Born on January 31, 1933 in McGiveny Junction, NB, she was daughter to the late Colin and Jean (Russell) Campbell.
Jean was a lover of all animals. There was nothing she enjoyed more than traveling to see her family, near and far. She will be missed dearly.
Jean will be lovingly remembered by her sons: John Monaghan and Steven Monaghan, her grandchildren: Jason Monaghan, Krista Monaghan (Rob Burton) and TJ Monaghan (Victoria Hall), great-grandchildren: Anderson, Olivia and Mariah, nieces and nephews: Lee, Kimmie, Paula, Marcie, John and Wayne, along with many great-nieces and nephews and members of her extended family.
Besides her parents and husband James, Jean was predeceased by her siblings: Ellen Blake, James Campbell and William Campbell.
Jean’s family wish to extend their utmost gratitude and “Thanks” to the staff of Tucker Hall. Your compassion and care towards our mother will not be forgotten.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The Funeral Service will take place in the spring on a date and time to be determined.
For those who wish, remembrances made to the SPCA, Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Online condolences can be placed at www.brenansfh.com
