Obituary for Jeannette Bourque
Peacefully, with her family by her side at Bluewater Health, Palliative Care in Sarnia on Monday, August 17, 2020. Born in The Pas, Manitoba, JEANNETTE BOURQUE (nee Dignard) was in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband Jerry Bourque (2012), she will be dearly missed by her children; Rick and Yvette Bourque of Sarnia, Pam and Rod Charlton of Petrolia, Lynn and Jim Bidner of Petrolia, Mike and Anne Bourque of Petrolia, Ron Bourque and Kim Davis-Bourque of Sarnia, Tony and Cathy Bourque of Petrolia, and Mary Ann and Al Hibbard of Sarnia, her nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Jeannette is also survived by her sister Florence Nahrgang of Kitchener. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Louise Dignard, her brother Gerry Dignard and her sister Victoria Potvin. Jeannette took great pride in her large family and often boasted about them at Lambton Meadowview Villa where, prior to COVID restrictions, there was a regular flow of family members visiting her. Jeannette was a life-long member of St. Philips CWL and regularly served at banquets and church functions. She had a passion for baking, knitting and jewelry making and shared her talents with many. A private funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 at St. Philip’s Parish, Petrolia with a burial to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to: St Vincent DePaul Society, Sarnia Blessings, or Canadian Food for Children.
