Jean Christine Gunn 1949 2020

Obituary of Jean Christine Gunn
Jean was born in Sheffield, England on March 24, 1949. She and her husband Dave emigrated to Canada in 1969 and moved to Quesnel in 1979.
Jean was a loving and devoted mother, a supportive partner, and a loyal friend. She was also a talented artist and seamstress as well as a dedicated volunteer in her community. Billy Barker Days, Good Cheer, Power Pioneers, and Girl Guides are just a few of the organizations to benefit from her boundless energy and spirit over the years.
Jean succumbed to cancer on October 13th after a long and courageous battle. Those that had the privilege of knowing her will appreciate the profound loss that her passing brings. She is survived by her son Andrew, and daughter Catherine, as well as her husband Ken, and his sons Bryan and Graeme.
The family would like to thank Dr. G. Martins, the emergency and nursing staff of G.R. Baker, and the cancer unit staff. A special thank you to the staff at Quesnel Hospice for their exceptional care and kind support.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so. If friends so desire, donations can be made to the cancer program at Northern Health, or the Quesnel & District Hospice Palliative Care Association.
Thank you, Jean, for your warm generous love, your fierce resolve, and your inspirational strength and vitality. Your grace, patience, and wisdom will be cherished by all of us. May the universe hold you and keep you in boundless love and peace. Until we meet again.
