It is with great sadness the family of Jean Inkpen of Burin announce her passing at the US Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence on June 25, 2020 at the age of 80 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Freeman; daughters Della Brocklehurst (Glenn) of Mount Pearl and Lynn Antle (Eugene) of Mortier; grandchildren Erin, Brandon (Kia), Sean and Katie; sister Gwenda Hollett (Junior); nieces Kim Pitcher, Allison Hollett plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by brother Charles Manning; sister Shirley MacDougall; sisters-in-law Joan Leaman; brothers-in-law Gerald and Bruce Inkpen.
In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place.
Following government legislation due to the current pandemic, a private funeral service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to The Gathering Place, St. John’s or Alzheimer’s Society.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin.
Words cannot express how grateful we are to the staff of the US Memorial Hospital for their love and compassion. Each and every staff member treated mom like she was a member of their family. Especially, during these last 3 months when they were there with mom when we couldn’t be. We will be forever grateful.
