C’est avec grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Jean-Marc Quesnel survenu le 13 novembre 2020, à l’âge de 86 ans. Jean-Marc laisse dans le deuil son épouse Anita (née Brisson), mariés depuis 62 ans, ses deux fils Luc Quesnel (Carole) et Pierre Quesnel (Denise), ses petits-enfants, Josée Quesnel (Éric), Mylène Quesnel (Samuel), Adèle Hickman (Ian) et Vincent Quesnel (Tara), ainsi que 6 arrières petits-enfants, Maélie, Brayden, Anaïs, Cohen, Ashton et Pillar. Il est prédécédé par son fils Marc Quesnel et ses parents Paul-Émile et Lucia Quesnel (née St-Arnault). Il manquera profondément à sa sœur, Lise Poirier (Gaetan), ainsi qu’à plusieurs neveux, nièces, parents et amis. Originaire de Valleyfield, Jean-Marc et la famille se sont installés à Cornwall en 1971 où il a fondé son garage, Cornwall Tire Service. Épicurien et bon vivant, Jean-Marc aimait particulièrement les voyages en motorisé mais ce qu’il aimait par-dessus tout était de jaser avec ses amis, clients et famille. Il était aussi un redoutable pianiste et chanteur. Jean-Marc était avant tout un homme de cœur, distingué et engagé. Tous l’aimaient. Nous allons le manquer et nous nous souviendrons de cet homme exceptionnel. La famille tient à exprimer sa gratitude au personnel et aux professionnels de la santé au Centre de soins prolongés St Joseph. Dans le contexte actuel, le service funèbre aura lieu à une date ultérieure. Vos marques de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don au Centre de soins prolongés St Joseph à Cornwall.
It is with great sadness that we announce that Jean-Marc Quesnel passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, at the age 86 years. Jean-Marc leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Anita Quesnel (née Brisson), his two sons, Luc Quesnel (Carole) and Pierre Quesnel (Denise), his grandchildren, Josée Quesnel (Éric), Mylène Quesnel (Samuel), Adèle Hickman (Ian) and Vincent Quesnel (Tara), and 6 great-grandchildren, Maélie, Brayden, Anaïs, Cohen, Ashton, and Pillar. He is pre-deceased by his son, Marc Quesnel and his parents Paul-Émile and Lucia Quesnel (née St-Arnault). He will be greatly missed by his sister Lise Poirier (Gaetan) as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Originally from Valleyfield, Jean-Marc and his family moved to Cornwall in 1971 where he founded Cornwall Tire Service. With a positive spirit and a passion for life, Jean-Marc particularly loved to travel with his motor home. Above all, he loved to chat with friends, clients and family. He was also a talented pianist and singer.
Jean-Marc was first and foremost a man who led with his heart. He was distinguished and hardworking. Everyone loved him. We will miss him dearly and will always remember this exceptional man. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff and health professionals at the St. Joseph Continuing Care Centre. Due to the current situation, the funeral service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy Memorial Donations to the St. Joseph Continuing Care Centre would be appreciated by the family.
