Jean Magee
Ok M. Jean Magee, 100, of Monarch
Hall, Riverview and formerly resided on Mansfield Street for 96
years.
Born in Moncton, she was the elder
daughter of the late Wycliffe and Georgia (McCabe)
Magee.
Jean was a former office employee of
Sumner Co Ltd., Moncton with 12 years service and retired from Central
Trust Mortgage Dept., Moncton with 30 years service. She was a long
time member of Lewisville Baptist Church, Dominion Life Member of the
Rebecca Alward WMS, former Sunday School teacher, former
Superintendent of Primary Dept. and former church soloist at
Lewisville Baptist Church.
She was a former Board member of
Moncton Community Concert Association and for a number of years always
sang “O Valiant Hearts” on the Remembrance Day Veterans
Service.
Jean will be sadly missed by her
niece, Lezley Latchford (Darrin) of Peterborough, ON and nephews,
Shawn Trueman (Nola) of Penetanguishene, ON, Aaron Trueman (Agnes) of
Bowmanville, ON and John Trueman (Ann) of Rotterdam, Netherlands; and
cousin David McCabe (Joanne).
In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her brother-in-law, Donald Trueman (1996) and sister,
Eileen Trueman (2008).
A private family service will be
held.
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain
Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
