Jean LaCarte Tuesday August 25th 2020

In loving memory of Mrs. Jean LaCarte who passed away at Kirkland & District Hospital, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the age of 75.
Jean was born in Englehart, June 28, 1945 to Logan & Ellen (Peever) Wood.
Mom loved to sing and dance and have a good time. You could catch her dancing with her walker and belting out tunes by Elvis, The Bee Gees, Disturbed and numerous other musicians.
Mom was a terrific cook who loved our family gatherings. She was famous for her delicious baked beans, butter tarts and creampuffs. Mom was always quick to laugh and will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. We will miss you Momma Bear.
Pre-deceased by her mother Ellen nee Peever Wood and her husband Archie Albany LaCarte (2006)
Jean survived by 3 children, Michelle (Richard) of Logan Lake, B.C., Clinton( Kristyne) of Tomstown, Athena (Robbie) of Kirkland Lake. She will be sadly missed by her father Logan Wood, brothers Bob and Rod Wood and also by her grandchildren, Logan, Mitchell, Natasha, Kelsi, Tianna and Jamoss. Numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews and her loving little dog, Pokey.
In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a burial of Jean’s ashes will be buried at the Charlton Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In memory contributions to the Kirkland Lake Palliative Care Room will be greatly appreciated. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.mcdonaldfuneralhome.ca.
