1915 – 2020
Jean Vreys late of Redvers, SK passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Redvers Health Centre Special Care Home at the age of 104 years and 222 days.
Jean and her late husband Jack loved gardening together… Jack sowed the seeds and tended the plants while Jean processed the crops and was very particular with the way that her canning and preserves were labelled and stored.
Jean was always concerned with the well being of their only daughter Adrianne and as a result was a very active member of the Redvers Activity Centre. Jean loved helping with the Christmas Stocking program and summer camp that was a part of the Redvers Activity Centre.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, Adrianna and Arnold Van Heukelom; her loving husband of 58 years Jack Vreys; brothers, John, Frank, Pete, Arnold, Joe and Louie (Alice) and her sisters, Marie Stiles, Anna Richmond and Louise Dautremont and Jack’s family, Kay (George) Truman, Nellie (Warren) Haraldsen, Annie (Eloie) Wilvers and Rene Bailey.
Precious memories will be cherished by Jean’s daughter Adrianne; sister-in-law Louise Bailey and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Redvers, SK on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Andree presiding. A private family interment will follow at the Redvers Town Cemetery.
