Jean’s Obituary
Gayton, Jean Grace – 76, Tatamagouche, passed away October 3, 2020 at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Born in Malagash she was a daughter of the late Ora and Clara (Langille) Scott. Jean had work at the Sunset Community for many years retiring in 1986. She is survived by her children, Gary (Jean) Norton, Pugwash Junction, Kenneth Norton, Kindersley, Sask., Karen Langille, North River, Kimberly Norton (John Beardsmore), Toronto, Brian Gayton and Scott Gayton, Tatamagouche, Darren Gayton (Casandra MacKay), Kindersley, Sask.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Doug Gayton; daughter, Cheryl Gayton; great-grandson, Robert Carde; brothers, Roland and Lloyd Scott; sisters, Freda Patriquin, Hilda Stevens, Hazel Trenholm and Ida Lewis. The family would like give a special thanks to her niece, Paulette Patriquin, Martha Ferguson, Dr. Rob Bush and the nursing staff at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital for all their care and support during the past few months. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 9, at the St. Thomas More Catholic Cemetery, Durham St., Pugwash.
