Jean Elizabeth Krushel Monday December 30th 2019

Jean was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, on a farm at Heartlake Road and Queen Street East. Burger King is on the property now. Jean graduated from the University of Toronto with a Degree in Household Science in 1951. Jean enrolled in the Dietetic Internship at Toronto General Hospital and graduated in September 1952. In 1965 Jean married Alvin Krushel and settled in Thornhill. In 1975 Jean and Al adopted Debra and Tanya, ages 8 and 9 years. They bought a cottage on Lake Simcoe that fall. Tanya’s son Ryan was born in 1987, and Debi and Chris’s sons Jeremy and Mason were born in 1996 and 1999. Jean loved having adventures with her grandsons. In 1993 the cottage was torn down and a permanent home was built on the site, were Jean and Al retired. Jean had no problem keeping busy in retirement. Jean was diagnosed with Alzheimers in 2009, and shortly afterwards sold the house on the Lake.
