Jean Bengtson January 1st 2020

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Eloise Bengtson (nee Rance), loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and a friend to many. Jean was born in Medicine Hat in 1942 and passed away in Medicine Hat in 2020. Jean had a smile for all and was a kind, caring and loving woman. She appreciated the beauty and wonder of nature, time spent with family and friends, her yard and flowers she worked so hard on, and the sunshine on her face. Jean had a passion for walking and was regularly seen enjoying her many daily walks around her beloved hometown of Suffield. She always held a special place in her heart for babies and loved to watch children playing. She will be lovingly missed by all whose life she touched. Jean is survived by her husband Ron; children, Randy, Greg, Cindy (Copper), Michele (Ian) & Tanya (Ed); eight grandchildren; 16 1/2 great grandchildren; four sisters; three brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Lois & Fred Rance and sister Audrey. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, # 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, January 9th, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Tomy Manjaly, Ccelebrant. A reception will follow at the Redcliff Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 201, 770 – 6th Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4J6.
