Jason Savage “Jagger”
Smith –
27, Central Onslow, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020.
Jason was always smiling and was loved by all for his
shining light. Growing up in Debert, Jason cherished the
time that he spent in Ontario with family.
He was a valued supervisor at Greco who enjoyed
being with Janessa and his work family. An accomplished musician, he
wrote music and was lead guitarist with his band, MTBB.
He and his sister, Jessica, shared a special bond
together and he will also be sadly missed by his good friends, Nick
Totten and Montana Ward.
Jason is survived by his parents, Sharron Smith,
Truro; Steven Smith, Central Onslow; Winnie Lewis, Debert; sister,
Jessica Smith (Jeremy), Truro; grandmothers, Marlene Charron, Toronto;
Margo Miller, Debert; great uncle, Albert (Bonnie) Johnson, Middleton;
aunts, Laura (David) Bordin, Toronto; Chrissy (Shaun)
Brnjas’Selose, Uxbridge, ON; Michelle Smith (Doug Curry),
Salmon River; Sheryl (Darren) Brooks, Truro; Diane Williams Adams,
Calgary, AB; Laura (Burnie) Curran, Terrance, BC; Tanya (Andrew)
Houlihan, Sackville; uncles, John (Rose) Smith, Spanish, ON; John
(Maureen) Johnson, Truro; Roy Johnson, Toronto; cousins, Kelsey,
Mathew and Jamie Smith; Jade and Jordan Selose; Jordan Croucher and
Jacob Nelson; many other dear cousins; nephew, Harlen MacDonald who
Jason always enjoyed the pure joy of being a kid again with.
Jason had a close childhood bond with Scott, Gary, Douglas
and Halen Cameron. Jason’s laughter and compassion will be
missed by a wide circle of friends and family.
Jason was predeceased by his Grammie,
Beryl (Aylward) Johnson; Pap, George Johnson; Grandfathers, Albert
Smith; Russell Smith.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro,
where Jason’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.,
Sunday, December 6, 2020.

on Monday, December 7, 2020; webcasting of the funeral
