Obituary
Birnie, Janice – She leaves behind her beloved David Blahey who fought the fight alongside her, her loving sons, Dean Decaire (Janet) and Derek Decaire (Jenn), wonderful grandsons, Brock Decaire and Gregory Decaire, his brother Adam Hewitt (Ray), Hunter, Kennedy, Melissa and Heather. She also leaves behind sisters, Diane Lavalley (James- deceasded), Judy Gillespie (Ross) and Valerie Brothers (Dan). She will miss so many loving cousins. She will be joining her “twin”, Estelle Newell who passed on in 2017.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Alcide and Lilly Lamondin. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Beatrice, Marie, Ruby and Suzanne Lamondin. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Janice will miss Kim, Jeff and Finley McGirr, Chris and Kristen Blahey and the entire Blahey family. She will miss all her friends.
Janice wished to thank Dr. S. Hegyi, Dr. J. Venne, Dr. F. Luison, Dr. J.Noble, Dr. Bissett, Dr. D. Want, all the nurses and medical staff at both Sudbury and North Bay hospitals. And finally, Dr. Jinnah, her fellow associates, and the people of Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
A private family service will be held at All Saints Mausoleum. A celebration of her life will be held at a further announced date.
Donations in memory of Janice to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be appreciated by her family.

So sad to hear the news of the passing of my beautiful cousin/sister Janice. I will always remember your kind and loving spirit. May you rest in peace in Heaven. I will love you forever.
