1947-2020
Janet R. Melanson passed away with family by her side at the
Charlotte County Hospital, St Stephen, NB. on Friday, January 24,
2020.
Born in Woodstock, NB., daughter of the late Berton and Rose
(Hartley) Smith.
Janet is survived by her husband of 51 years, Camille,
daughter, Billie Jo of McAdam, NB., son, Joey Melanson of White Head,
NB., grandchildren: Kyle Savoy (Amy) and Lacie Scott (Terry) , all of
McAdam, NB., Chad and Brandon Adams of White Head, NB., two great
grandchildren, “Apple of Her Eye” Makayla and
“Little Spitfire” Dax, sister, Jean Kinney of Saint
John, NB., brother, Marshall of Ontario, three nephews, Marshall Barry
(Robin) and Randy Barry (Sissy) all of North Carolina, Steven Barry
(Jan) of St. Croix, NB.
In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by her
daughter, Kim and sister, Marion.
In keeping with Janet’s wishes, there will be no
funeral service or visitation at this time. A graveside service will
be held at the Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB. at a later
date.
For those who wish donations in memory of Janet may be made
to the IWK or a charity of one’s choice.
The family wish to express their sincere appreciation for the
support and care of the Palliative Care nurses and staff of Charlotte
County Hospital.
