Janet Martel
1939-2020
It is with great sadness that we the family of Janet A.
Martel announce her passing on October 6, 2020 in South Shore Regional
Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in New Cornwall, she was the daughter of
the late Murray and Maizie (Eisnor) Dimmell of Cornwall, NS. She is
survived by her son Murray, Dartmouth; stepdaughters Fay and Pam, both
of Ontario; sisters Hope and Sandra, both of Cornwall, Mabel,
Hebbville; grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her husband Silvo Martel; stepdaughter Wanda,
Quebec.
In her younger years Janet enjoyed fishing, camping and bike
riding, and overnights at “The Lil Toby Attic” in
Cornwall.
Janet will be missed by her sisters “The Dimmell
Girls”.
A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday in
New Cornwall Memorial Gardens. Pastor Tom Davidson officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the New Cornwall Baptist Church.
