Elizabeth who loved to be called Mamie by her grandchildren was called home on December 17, 2020 due to COVID-19,
Elizabeth was born in Perth, Ontario July 5, 1942 and was raised by her parents Herbert and Janet Charlton in Maberly Ontario,
Elizabeth was a most loving mother to her daughter Patricia (Patti). She together with her husband Gerald (Gerry) moved to Fort Erie. While in Fort Erie Elizabeth graduated from Brock University in St. Catharines Ontario, majoring in psychology and sociology. While in Fort Erie, Elizabeth had many accomplishments such as teacher’s aide, a probation officer and a social worker. After moving to Bowmanville she became a social worker at Pine Ridge Training School for Boys in Bowmanville.
Elizabeth enjoyed reading, cooking, entertaining and going to Florida in the winter. Elizabeth was a huge animal lover and over the years had German shepherds dogs and both Siamese and alley cats. The time she valued the most was spending time with her 2 grandsons and daughter.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Gerald (Gerry), daughter Patricia -Patti, (David), grandsons Ryan and Nicholas.
A private celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held late spring 2021.

Gerry I just came across the death notice. If you ever come to find this late sympathy note, I understand what it is like , my wife passed away in March 2020.
