Jane’s Obituary
BROWN, Jane Marie – age 94, Vancouver Place Seniors formerly from Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at the Vancouver Place Seniors, Yarmouth. Born November 2, 1925 in Wedgeport, she was the daughter of the late to Maurice and Josephine (DeViller) Cottreau, Wedgeport. Jane was a homemaker however she lived in many different places over the years while her husband was in the Air Force. She loved her family and they were everything to her. She will be remembered as a very kind-hearted and happy woman. She enjoyed quilting (which she did with her sisters), knitting and anything with crafts. She used to be an avid square dancer to a ball room dancer with her husband. She is survived by her children, Bill (Ruby) Brown, Bedford; Greg (Caroline) Brown, New Minas; Judy (Bruce) Olsen, Sydney River and Lorraine (Donald) Tedford, Pembroke; grandchildren, Jayne, Michael, Christina, Gregory, Chris, Chantal and 11 great grandchildren. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Brown, brothers; Eddie, Austin and Louie and sisters Margaret, Marie, Annie and Matilda. Jane loved living at Vancouver Place Seniors and the family would like to thank the staff as they were very good to her. A private interment will take place at the Saint Michael’s Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M.
