Obituary of James Frederick William McCoy
Jim McCoy passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 85. Jim was born in Kirkland Lake and moved to Port at an early age. Loving husband of his late beloved wife Connie McCoy (2010) for more than 50 years. He is survived by his children, Pam, Penni (Mike), Trish and Jamie. His six grandchildren Braden, Jordan (Melissa), Kimberlyn (Dave), Kelly, James and Jacob, four great-grandchildren Chloe, Reid, Eddie and Devery. Best buddy of Jimmy Carrigan and Mike Gauthier. Jim was predeceased by his parents Fred & Vera and his brother Carl. Jim worked many years as an electrician for the St. Lawrence Seaway and then was self-employed until his retirement. He was an avid billiards player and participated in a league up until last year.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and private memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. Memorial donations made to Port Cares would be appreciated by his family.
