Obituary
KENNEDY, James Wilmot “Wil”..passed away at his home on Friday, September 18th, 2020 in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Joan Kennedy (Williams) for 57 years. Beloved father of Scott Kennedy & his wife Erin, Mark Kennedy & his fiancée Lee Barlow and predeceased by his son Kevin Kennedy. Proud poppa of Noah and Ava. He is survived by his siblings; Jean Thompson (John), Melvin Kennedy, Sharon Stewart (Harry), Penny Kennedy, Susan Kennedy and his seven nephews and one niece. He is predeceased by his sister Linda Kennedy.
Wil was an avid sports fan and excelled as a catcher in fastball and a goaltender in hockey. In later years he gave back to the sports he loved as a coach. Wil was inducted into the Quinte West Sports Wall of Fame in 2016. He was a Past President, Melvin Jones Fellow recipient and Life Member of the Trenton Lions Club where he devoted countless hours of volunteer service to the community he loved. Wil and Joan enjoyed 58 years of camping at Presqu’ile Provincial Park making many lifelong friendships. He loved to sing along with the music of the 50’s and 60’s and will be remembered for his kindness, silly humour and the love he had for his family.
