Walz, James (Walzy) passed away peacefully at his home on April 24, 2020 with his wife by his side.
Jim was born October 25, 1945 in Unity, Saskatchewan. He was raised in Montrose, BC and worked for CPR, Cominco (Teck) in Trail, as well as several locations around the province at dam sites and mill shut downs including up in Fort McMurray before retiring.
His favourite place was Woodbury Resort and fishing on Kootenay Lake. In his younger years he enjoyed playing ball all around the Kootenays, as well as drag racing at Deer Park.
He is predeceased by his parents Joe and Betty Walz. He is survived by his wife Eleanor, daughter Pam (Dave) of Penticton, BC, Jim Jr. (Sara) of Maple Ridge, BC, grandchildren Jesse, Adam, Tanner and Linden, brothers Peter (Jean) of Calgary, AB, Wayne (Maxine) of Delta, BC , sister Betty-Lou (Bud) of Langley, BC, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Very special thank you to Gregg for your weekly visits with Jim. He really looked forward to them. A big thank you to Dr. Chris Cochrane for looking after Jim all these years.
There will be no service at this time.
