Obituary
James Stuart McCraw
March 3, 1953 – February 5, 2020
With a special talent to give the best haircuts anyone could ever hope for James finally laid his well used scissors to rest. He was a longtime hairstylist in downtown Nanaimo where he co-owned Salon Randal James for 29 years prior to continuing on for another 17 years at his own salon – Salon James where his loyal clientele followed.
James passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Christina on a sunny afternoon on February 5, 2020 at NRGH. He was a kind, gentle, loving soul who will be dearly missed by his family, extended family, many friends and clientele.
James’s passions in life were sharing time with his wife, our beloved past pets, the love of travel to many countries, going for walks in the neighbourhood and nearby parks as well as playing billiards, whether in a league or at the local pub enjoying a pint with friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Nanaimo Golf Club on Sunday, March 8th at 2pm. Please consider making a donation in his memory to either the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, 205 Horton St E, Suite 203, London, ON N6B 1K7 or the SPCA, 154 Westwood Rd,, Nanaimo BC V9R6R8
