James Ivan “Jim” Deighan
1952-2020
Deighan: James Ivan
“Jim” January 18, 1952 – December 8,
2020
Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces
It is with great sadness we share James’ passing.
He passed away suddenly at his home on Euston St. on Tuesday, December
8, 2020. James was known for his sense of humour, quick wit and always
having treats ready for his grandchildren. Nothing gave James more
pleasure than sitting down and telling stories to the grand kids.
James was a loving husband and dad, who loved cooking, reading and
watching his favourite shows.
Born in Charlottetown James was the son of the late Emmett
and Margaret (Farmer) Deighan. He is survived by his loving wife
Virginia Deighan. Loving father to Pat (Meghann) and Ashley (Andrew).
Proud Grampy to Brayden, Alice, Sullivan and Angus. Dear brother to
Joe (Bonnie), Mike(Connie), Kevin (Lisa), Virginia, Marie (Jim
deceased) and Joanne (Ron). He was cherished by many nieces, nephews
and cousins in PEI, NB, and Ont. as well as countless friends and
close neighbours.
James’ family would like to offer a heartfelt
thank-you to the first responders for their efforts in caring for
James’ and his family.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral
Home. Unfortunately due to current restrictions, visitation will not
be available. A private service will be held in the funeral home
chapel by invitation only but will be available for live stream
