James Edward Prescott 19452020

James Edward Prescott
1945-2020
It is with great sadness that the family of James Edward
Prescott, of Kiersteadville, NB, announces his passing after a
courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born at the Saint John General
Hospital and grew up in Sus, NB. He was the son of the late Hon.
Justice John McLeod Prescott and Eva (nee Dalton)
Prescott.
Jim is survived by his wife Shirley (nee Spragg); his sons:
Darren (Traci) and Jonathan (Jennifer), both from Saint John, NB; five
grandchildren: Jesse, Justin, Joshua, Benjamin (Jessica), and
Stephanie; and two sisters-in-law: Ruth Patterson (late Walter) and
Joyce McLeod (David); along with many nieces and
nephews.
Jim started his career with NBTel and retired from Office
Outfitters. He was a jack of all trades and master of some. You could
always find Jim working on various projects. He was always just a call
away for Darren and Jon with their never-ending questions on how to
fix something.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s
Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road,
Norton, NB where visitation will be held on Friday September 18th from
2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm. A private service will be held at a
later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of James may
be made to Kiersteadville Cemetery or to the charity of the
donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and
donations may be made through: www.sherwoodsfuneralhome.com
