ROSS, James Douglas Trefry – 82, of Bay Side Home, Barrington, formerly of Upper Port La Tour, passed away suddenly on October 30, 2020, in Valley Regional Hospital. He was deeply loved by his family and it is with great sadness we share his passing. “Jim” was born in Blanche on October 10, 1938, the only son of the late George “Douglas” and Josie (Swaine) Ross. He is survived by his wife Rilda (Collins), Bay Side Home, Barrington; daughters, Shelley (Stefan) Jeschke, Reynoldscroft; Kathy (Vaughn) Atwood, Clark’s Harbour. Jim was predeceased by his infant son, Edward Douglas; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie (Rodney) Nickerson. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Calie. Jim was a kind, caring and dedicated husband and father spent much of his time over the past two years ensuring he was often by Rilda’s side after she moved to long term care in February 2018. Jim had a long career as a school bus driver for the Shelburne County District School Board. He had also worked as a carpenter, fisherman, TV and radio repairman and school custodian. Jim loved to play his guitar and often played in church and when socializing with friends, he loved to go camping, watch ball games, go for evening drives and he was an avid DIY handyman.
