Obituary
Jacques Cormier
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacques (Jack) Cormier on Thursday, October 9, 2020.
Jack was born September 3, 1948 in Moffet, Quebec to Francoise and Lionel Cormier. He grew up with 7 siblings, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
In 1975, Jack married the love of his life, Lise. They shared 45 happy and loving years together.
Jack was a hardworking man, and it seemed like the harder he worker, the happier he was. He worked for Kimberly Clark in the bush until his retirement in 1997. In retirement he spent 16 winters travelling to Texas, and the most recent winter in Mexico. He loved his daily walks, rain or shine, with his trusted walking buddy, Cooper. He enjoyed fishing, doing firewood, puttering in his yard and the day before his passing he finished his masterpiece, his stone driveway.
Jack is survived by his loving wife Lise, daughters Cindy (Dickson), Christie (Chuck), Candice, son Martin (Jennifer), grandchildren Mathieu, Myla, Eric, Nicholas, Mary, Evan, Caleb, Chance, Alex, Dustin and one great granddaughter, Kylee. Jack is also survived by his mother in law Madeline Fortin and siblings Sylvie, Marlene, Claire, Mario and Chantal, his Mononcle Gaston and Matante Claire.
Jack is predeceased by his parents Francoise and Lionel, father in law Charles-Emile, and his brothers Didier and Michel.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Geraldton District Hospital and Superior North EMS for their care and kindness.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will happen at a later date.
