Jacqueline Little
It is with a
heavy heart that we announce the passing of our loved one, Jacqueline
(affectionately known as Jake or Jacki to many) on Wednesday, November
11, 2020 at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital
Centre.
Born in
Halifax to Gordon & Lorraine Little, she was the 2nd of 4
children and moved to Moncton with her family in the early 70’s.
She graduated from Harrison Trimble in 1979. Her
passion was sports (NFL, NHL, Curling, Poker & NASCAR) and
coin collecting. She was a Bartender at Kegler’s
for 20 years before beginning her courageous, 17- year battle
with cancer. Throughout her journey, she was an
inspiration to many as she tackled every obstacle with hope &
positivity. She was a true
warrior.
She is
survived by the love of her life – Norman Moore, her beloved fur baby
– Pepper and step-daughter Tracy Lynds; mother – Lorraine Holt ;father
– Gordon Little (Diane), sister – Susan Tingley (Marc) and
brother – Gordon Little (Sandi); nephews – Ian, Paul, Brett
and Nick and nieces – Michelle & Taylor; great nieces – Hailee
and Milah; great nephews – Mitchell, Justin and Damar and many aunts,
uncles, cousins & extended family. She was
predeceased by her paternal grandparents Ralph & Tillie Little
and maternal grandparents: Joe & Sybil Pottie; and her sister
– Lorraine Key.
Her family
would like to thank the staff of the Oncology Dept. of the Dr. Georges
L. Dumont UHC for their care & treatments over the
years. A special thank you to Dr. Whitlock who was with her
through it all. As well, a heartfelt thank you to the nurses
from NB Extra Mural program for their tender care & support
during Jacki’s palliative care at home and the home care
team (Christy, Inez, Raymone) and to the Palliative Care Team at the
George Dumont for their care of Jacki during her last
days.
At her
request, there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of
Life will be planned for a later date.
