Obituary for
Jack William Seerey
Born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Janet Seerey, Jack spent his early years in Saskatchewan before moving with his family to Berwyn, Alberta in 1955 where the family farmed.
Throughout his life, Jack placed a very high value on education, obtaining Bachelor and Masters degrees in Education from the University of Alberta. He spent a rewarding career as a teacher, principal and educational administrator in Alberta, New Brunswick and Ontario. Jack loved to travel and moved many times and with his outgoing personality he made many great friends along the way.
Jack retired to Lethbridge and had recently moved to Edmonton to be closer to family. He is survived by his children, Sean Seerey (Rose) and Sandra Kraatz (David); and three grandchildren, Sabrina Seerey, Seth Kraatz and Grace Helen Kraatz. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Tom Seerey (Norma), Mary Kratz (Rick), Kathy McGuire (Pat), Kit Seerey (Cindy) and Pat Seerey (Sue); and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, September 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Family Church, Grimshaw, AB.
