Jack Keefe
1941-2020
Jack Keefe Jr. (1941 – 2020) formerly of Riverview,
died on February 8th at the Moncton Hospital
after a struggle with cancer. Jack was born in Saint John, and was the
son of Jack Keefe Sr. and Maude (Cosman). He is survived by
his wife of 58 years, Beth (Cooke); one son Jack (Karen Gelderman) of
Yellowknife; his daughter, Marybeth (Pierre Dupuis) of Shediac Cape;
and four grandsons he adored, Ian and Alex Keefe, and Robin and
Patrick Dupuis. He is survived by his sister Penny, and brother and
sister Dave and Ann, and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was a Moncton boy who grew up on Garden Hill Avenue
where he made life long friends. He attended Moncton High School and
Horton Academy. At 18 he entered the family business, Keefe
Enterprises, and started by delivering oil and propane. He owned and
operated the Candy Bowl store on Main Street, and later worked for
years in Real Estate and land development in the Moncton
area.
Jack loved his family, swimming at the YMCA when he was a
teenager, cars, pocket knives, water skiing and boating on Shediac
bay, he loved his home in Shediac Cape with his messy workshop, and he
loved the city of Moncton.
Jack was a man who genuinely liked the people he met, and
made life long friendships. He and Beth raised their family in
Riverview where they had many great times with good
friends.
Thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses who have
treated and nursed Jack through his illnesses.

Moncton Hospital.
There will be a Memorial service in June, with the date still
