M.J. Patricia “Pat”‘s Obituary
TRENTON – M. J. Patricia “Pat” Gladney, 69, Trenton, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 16, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late James Patrick and Marie Caroline (MacLeod) McGee. Prior to retirement due to ill health, Pat had worked closely with those in special need. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow. Pat had a wonderful sense of humour and ability to make others laugh. She will be remembered for the “twinkle in her eye”, positive outlook and vibrant smile. Throughout her life, Pat championed animals and was the caregiver for many rescue pets. Pat possessed a wonderful nurturing spirit and cared for her nieces and nephews as her own, loving each one unconditionally. Her faith was firmly grounded and her hope secure. For Pat, “Life has changed; not ended!”
Surviving are husband, J. Kevin Gladney; stepdaughter, Dawn Gladney (Scott Hillier), Trenton; stepson, J. Kevin Gladney Jr., Trenton; sister, Willena (Wayne) Shillinglaw, Toronto, Ont.; nieces, Michele, Jennifer and Heather; nephews, John, Alan, Jean-Paul and Charles.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Mary; brother, John.
In honour of Pat’s wishes, her family will celebrate her life privately with interment in Christ the King Cemetery, Trenton.
