J. Amedee Aubé
J. Amedee Aubé, 85,
of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont
University Hospital Centre on Monday, July 6, 2020. Born in Beresford,
he was the son of the late Joseph Francois and Marie-Anne
Aubé (Roy).
Amedee will be sadly missed by
his children, Michelle Aubé-LeBlanc (Alban), Claudette
Currie (Greg), Mona Aubé (Ron Leger) and Robert
Aubé (Jo-Anne Meuse); grandchildren, Mathieu (Jennifer),
Jesse (Kerry), Danielle (Rob), Laura (Ryan), Tyler (Danielle),
Stephane (Shannon) and Sophie; precious great grandchildren, Kaleb,
Lily, Jaxon, Maverick, Emily, Sean and Emmett; sister, Catherine
Poirier (Rene); brothers, Gilbert Aubé (Joan) and Clarence
Aubé (Shelley); special friend, Rose Melanson; as well as
several nieces, nephews and extended
family.
In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by his wife, Louise Aubé (Malenfant)
(2003); sister, Olivette; brother, Aurele; and grandchildren, Melanie
and William.
After many years of service
with CN, he enjoyed a long and happy retirement. He was a man of many
hobbies, such as leather crafting, woodworking and cross stitching. He
was also a talented musician, the guitar and mandolin being his
favorite instruments. Gatherings with family and friends were a
special part of his life. He will be remembered for his witty sense of
humour and generosity.
Visitation will be held at
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and from 1:00 to 2:00 pm
on Friday, July 10, 2020, followed immediately by a Service to
celebrate and honour Amedee’s life at 2:00 pm in Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel. Social distancing must be respected at all times
due to the current COVID-19 restrictions.. Interment will be held at
Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
Amedee’s service
