Obituary
NORLANDER, Ivan
On December 6, 2020 our dear father went to be with the Lord after living many years with Parkinson’s disease. He is now reunited and together finally with his wife, Marg, who passed away in September. Dad was born and raised in Norquay, SK and was the eldest child of Manfred and Mable Norlander. Dad attended Covenant Bible Institute in Prince Albert. He later settled in Saskatoon where he married Marg Benson in 1968 and they raised their 3 children. Dad worked for 35 years as an orderly at City Hospital. His Christian faith was such a big part of his life. Dad was a charter member of College Park Covenant Church and dedicated much time in unwavering service to the work of the church, often spending hours caring for the building and grounds. Dad leaves a heritage of servanthood and God’s transformational grace that was especially evident as he cared for Mom in her later years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Charlene (Tony) Adrian, Nancy (Jeff) Sutherland, son Trevor; 5 grandkids; sisters June Bauman and Bernice Norlander and numerous nieces and nephews. A Private Family Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. To view the service live or at a later time please go to: www.aspenfilms.ca/mg In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to Parkinson’s Canada at www.parkinson.ca or by mail to 4211 Yonge St, Suite 316 Toronto, ON M2P 2A9.
