May 29, 1934 – December 1, 2020
Ivan H. McLean of Woodstock, NB passed away on December 1st, 2020 at the Carleton Manor.
Ivan’s wife and life long companion Anita passed earlier this week – they will be laid to rest together. He was also predeceased by his parents Irvine and Freda McLean and his sister Joyce (Culberson).
He is survived by his children Robin McLean (Jane), Darci Fox (Mac) and Kelly Haley (Dave), his grandchildren Kyley (Gartley), Jeremy (Fox), Alex and Jeff McLean and Barbara, Allyson, Ross and Jacob (Haley), along with several beloved great grandchildren, and his siblings Etta (Lockhart), Olga (Hood), Ronald (McLean) and Meda (Adair).
Ivan was loved by many and was a fixture in his community. As a respected local business owner, he lived both his personal and professional life with kindness and generosity as his guiding principles. Anyone who knew Ivan could always count on him for a warm hug, a compassionate ear and a helping hand. He always had a story ready to lend perspective to any situation, and his friends and family will forever remember his infinite words of wisdom.
Ivan cherished his family – he was so proud of their accomplishments and the values he passed on to them. We will miss him every day and will honour his memory through acts of kindness and good will.
Due to COVID-19 circumstances, a service will take place at a later date.
Donations to the Valley Food Bank would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Our family cannot stress enough the important role The Carleton Manor staff played over the past few weeks. In particular, the Personal Support Workers provided loving and tender assistance to both our parents. We deeply appreciate their devoted service.
