September 12, 1931 – May 25, 2020
On Monday May 25, 2020 Irvin Lang passed away at the age of 88.
He will be sadly missed by his six children, Judy, Duane, Sharon, Colleen, Mardell, Blake and five grandchildren, as well as his brothers, Donald, Ted and Allan.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Rita in 2014.
Irvin was born just south of Edmonton in the Colchester area to parents Fred and Amelia, and homesteaded there with his family before heading to college and working in logging camps in the Hinton, Slave Lake area. He worked hard his life, building houses, working full time at Canada Packers and raising his family, had a love for his dogs and cats and was a very crafty woodworker and wine maker into his retirement years where he lived with Rita in the Ardrossan area. We will miss his warm smile, sense of humour and all his stories of growing up on the farm with his brothers and all his wisdom that he had. He was a most intelligent man and stickler to detail, he never left a stone unturned and was highly organized. Our father taught us good values and made us all the strong people we are today. We will miss him dearly.
Rest well father, you and mom are together again!
Cremation to take place at Trinity Funeral Home and a small family celebration will be held at a later date.
