Irma Rose Sanderson (nee McLeod) passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on the evening of August 5, 2020.
She left behind her pain and suffering but will continued to be loved and cherished by her devoted husband of 46 years, Walter ‘Les’ Sanderson, daughters Shannon McLean (John), Dyan Sanderson, Carole Sanderson (Stacy) and Sons Trevor McLeod (Hannah) and Dennis McLeod and her special son-in-law Lorne Burns.
Irma will forever be remembered as the loving Gramma to her grandchildren, Khalie (Marty Ratt), Theoran, Katie, Yvette, Bethanie, Gerald ‘Buddy’, Rylyn, Evan, Dylan, Demry, Dean, Avaya, Ricky, Charlie, Brian, Danika, Virginia, Diamond, Gloria, Lucas & Dennis Jr.
She also leaves to celebrate her life, her sisters, Edna ‘Hilda’ Cyr, Geraldine Sanderson and Bernice Marion and special nephew Quentin McLeod. Irmas memory will live on with her brothers and sisters-in-law, Mervin Burns, Art (Merle) Sanderson, Larry (Rhonda) Sanderson, Barry Sanderson, Lyle Sanderson, Victor (Linda) Sanderson, Joyce (Earl) Burns and Marilyn Sanderson. Her caring heart and humble nature will also be remembered by her numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and of all those who she touched the hearts of.
Irma was welcomed into the waiting arms of her parents John & Caroline McLeod, sisters Alice, Lena and Louisa. Brothers Marius, Marshall & Jeremiah, Mother and father in-law Walter & Stella Sanderson, brothers-in-law, Jimmy, Ron, Clifford, John & Lymen, sisters-in-law Louise, special son Dennis Albert and by those who left before her.
A wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m Friday August 7th at the Youth Centre on the James Smith First Nation and a celebration of her life at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 8, 2020.
