Obituary of Irene Ursula Vella-Zarb
Vella-Zarb, Sullivan, Bonello (nee Morand)
83 years, of Tilbury, formerly of Tecumseh. Beloved wife of the late Tom Vella-Zarb. Loved mother of the dear and precious late daughter Maria (surviving husband Denis) Peltier (April 20, 2017). Irene is predeceased by her parents Edward and Rena (nee Letourneau) Morand, former husband Leo “Pep” Sullivan (1997), her sister Yvonne (late Ernie) Cecile, and her brothers Bernard, Fr. Lionel, Fr. Edward, Msgr. Leonard, Msgr. Patrick, Paul (surviving wife Penny). Survived by brothers Fr. Dan and Bishop Blaise. Grandmother to Denny (Nicole), Nikki (Steve), Dan (Becca) and Marc (Stephanie) and great-grandmother (Mémé) of 11. Step-mother of David, Pierre (Cynthia), Alex, Michael, Karen and 7 step-grandchildren and 4 great-grand children and one late great-grandchild. Special Aunt Irene to many nieces and nephews. Irene worked as secretary for the Diocese of London for 26 years and is a member of the CWL and St. Vincent de Paul Society, Chatham. Visitation will be held at Reaume Funeral Home Inc. 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury, on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Please click on the highlighted Visitation Sign Up Page or call 519-682-0110 between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to schedule a visitation time. A private Mass of the Resurrection will take place at St. Peter’s on the Thames. Interment to follow at a later date at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Tecumseh.
