Obituary of Irene Jewers
Jewers, Irene Leola- 89, Sheet Harbour, It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. After a long illness Irene passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Harbourview Lodge, Sheet Harbour. Born in Moser River July 31, 1931 she was a daughter of the late John & Abigail (Woodworth) Jewers. Irene loved her bingo nights, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member with CGIT for many years. She will be sadly missed by her sons; Leonard (Kathy), Sheet Harbour, Kendell (Heather), Cole Harbour, brother Austin. Irene loved her grandchildren Dwyane (Erin), Haley (Brendan), Tyson (Ashley), Travis and Tyler. Great grandchildren; Colby (Hannah), Cody, Aleeah, Seth, Alayah and Noella, special nieces Juanita and Betty, many other nieces and nephews. A big thank you to Irene’s caregivers at Harbourview Lodge, who she loved dearly. A special thank you to Dr. MacDonald for always bringing a smile to her face. Visitation will be held Friday September 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 all in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour, masks mandatory. Funeral service will be held Saturday September 26 at 2p.m. in St. James United Church, Sheet Harbour Rev. Jeanne Manning- Stright officiating, the service is invitation only, masks are mandatory. Burial in the church cemetery, everyone welcome. Our dear mom was called away, and has gone with the lord to stay. Although this passing makes us weep, we rejoice our loved one rests safe in God’s keep. We miss you so much already Mom. Until we meet again fly high with the angels.
