Obituary of Irene Bellefleur
Bellefleur, Irene Elizabeth (nee Quinlan)
Irene Elizabeth Bellefleur passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 88.
Born in Saint John, New Brunswick on September 25, 1931, Irene was the dear daughter of the late George & Irene (nee Walsh) Quinlan.
Dear wife of the late Ronald A. Bellefleur (1999).
Beloved mother of Ron Bellefleur, and his wife Donna, Jim Bellefleur, and his wife Wanda, and the late Rob Bellefleur (2018), and survived by his wife, Cathy.
Loving grandmother of Brent, Brittany (Nick), Ryan, Robert, Matthew and Luke.
Survived by her sisters, Mary Doyle, Doreen Springstead (Roy) and Monica Daley.
Predeceased by sisters; Joan Rocca (the late Pat), Marguerite Mcillwraith (the late John), Patricia Mio (the late Dennis), Maureen Quinlan, brothers; Andrew Quinlan, George Quinlan, and brother-in-laws; Frank Daley, and John Doyle.
Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Irene was a devoted member of St. Agnes Catholic Parish and the Catholic Womans League. She was a member of the Legion of Mary under Father Morand for 5 years. Irene loved to travel, playing cards and hanging with friends (The Notorious Dalton Gang).
Family to receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2020 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 3:00 – 5:00 pm & 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Vigil Prayers to be held at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass to take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at St. Agnes Catholic Parish, 52 Croydon Street, Chatham. Burial to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
