Ico Jan Kiestra 2020

Ico Jan Kiestra
September 07, 2020
Ico Jan Kiestra, passed away at his home in St. Marys with family at his side on September 5, 2020 at the age of 79. Husband of Irene Kiestra, married on April 10, 1968. Loving father of Dirk Kiestra (Erica), Annemarieke Sneek (Niels), and Michelle Kiestra. Proud grandfather of Thomas, Maurice, Nicolas, Tijs, Sanne, and Jort. Ico will also be remembered by his siblings and extended family members in the Netherlands. Born in the Netherlands, he worked his entire life as a dairy farmer. Music was a big part of his life, playing church organs and singing in the church choir. A new adventure in his life began in 1998, when he came to Canada to continue dairy farming. Ico was a faithful member of the St. Marys Presbyterian Church and will be remembered as a strong, much loved and positive person.
A private family service will take place, followed by cremation.
In his memory donations to St. Marys Presbyterian Church or St. Marys Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
