Obituary of Ian Daniel Coles
The death of Ian Daniel “Dan” Coles of Rothesay, loving husband of Tanya (Upham) Coles, occurred on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Prince Edward Island on September 19, 1933, he was a son of the late Ethel Coles. Dan was a Realtor for several years until his retirement. He loved the outdoors; hunting, his cottage in Clifton Royal, the ocean, flying, and boating. He loved to travel to Florida. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Besides his loving wife, Dan is survived by his children; Dan Coles, and Shonaugh Moore (Chris) both of Hampton, step children; Ray of BC, Jason (Jessica) of Rothesay, and Renaye McDevite (Taner) of Public Landing, grandchildren; Amelia and Rebecca Moore, Decklan and Myers McDevite.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit, Saint John Regional Hospital, for their care and compassion.
Funeral Service for Dan will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road (849-2119) on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 12 PM, with visiting one hour prior. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
