Obituary of Huguette Brazeau
BRAZEAU – Huguette (née PAUL) of Port Colborne, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Niagara Health System Welland Site at the age of 89. Loving mother of Luke (Lynn) and much loved grandmother of Justin (Prakaykul), Jessica (fiancé Todd McNevin). Great grandmother to Hendrix. She was predeceased her husband Gilbert (October 2017), her parents Salomon and Annie (nee Gagnon) and her 5 sisters (Anita, Mira, Noella, Maria, Therese). She is survived by her brother-in-law Florent Leveille, and many nieces and nephews. Huguette was born in Bouchette, Quebec and taught school for a short time in a one room school house in northern Quebec. She came to Port Colborne in 1956. She was a long time member of Le Centre Polyvalent Des Aines Francophone De Port Colborne. She also delivered Meals on Wheels with Gilbert for many years. Huguette enjoyed canning, playing cards and spending time with family. Special thanks to the staff at Foyer Richelieu for their excellent care. In following with Huguette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, there will be no visitation. Private family service and inurnment to follow at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. Memorial donations may be made to Foyer Richelieu Welland.
