Memorial Donation
Hubert H. Matthews, son of the late John Dougald (Jack) Matthews and Mary Irene (Marchand) Matthews, 71, passed away at home in Grande Anse July 14, 2020.
He leaves behind his wife, Ann Marie Matthews, 4 grown children, several grandchildren, siblings and many nieces and nephews.
He grew up in a large family in Grande Anse, which he was very proud of and married into a fairly large family which he thought of as his own and enjoyed spending time with.
He was a carpenter who loved to hunt and fish. He loved to be physically active and to keep moving and busy in retirement and even the last while when he wasn’t feeling the best.
Cremation has taken place, private burial at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, 507 Bernard St., Port Hawkesbury.
