1945-2020
With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Howard Frederick
Hallett of Salmon Arm, BC, as a result of a vehicle accident on
February 4, 2020. He was a son, brother, husband, father, and helping
friend to many.
Howard was born on March 1, 1945, one of twin boys, in Millville, NB,
to his parents, James and Dorothy Hallett. In later years, he moved to
British Columbia, married his soulmate Leslie LeBarron, and they have
2 adult daughters, Sondra and Samantha. Next to his family, his love
would have been motorcycles of any kind. He and his wife attended
every event they could. They loved doing fund raisers for anyone in
need. He was generous with his time and his talents, and was known to
be called the “gentle giant. “
Howard leaves to mourn the LeBarron families, Saskatchewan; and his
birth families, brothers: his twin, Clarence (Jan), Prince George, BC;
Robert (Carol), Newcastle, Indiana; Murray (Rhonda), Langley, BC;
James (Julie), Draydon Valley, AB; sisters Elisabeth Hallett,
Sackville, NB; Dianne Schriver, Rossville, NB and Marguerite (Ellis)
Fawcett, Nortondale, NB; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; his sister and brother-in-law,
Jamie (Hallett) and Gordon Drost; sister-in-law Barbara Steele; and
brother-in-law Alton Schriver.
A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, Feb 11, 2020, under the
direction of Bowers Funeral Service in Salmon Arm, BC.
