It is with the deepest of sadness the children of Henry (Harry) George McIsaac announce his passing on May 1, 2020. He passed peacefully to be reunited with his loving wife Verónica (Bonnie) McIsaac.
Harry leaves to mourn his eight children Teresa (Ken), Stanley (Stephanie), Rosemary (Ralph), Ronnie (Velda), Lorraine (Tom), Pat (Denise), David (Avril) and Gerard. He is survived by his ten grandchildren and their families who loved him dearly….. Shana, Lauren, Susan, Penny, Janis, Renee, Michael, Christian, Clarissa and Caleb. He was the very proud Poppy Harry and Great Pop of thirteen great-grandchildren who brought a smile to his face each time he saw them.
Harry is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Harry is predeceased by his three brothers and six sisters.
Dad loved life and loved people; be they family or friends. His smile was infectious and he smiled often. He was a “man of few words” but when he spoke it was certainly worth listening. Dad would put his own needs aside to lend a helping hand to others. His ways were gentle and they were caring.
Dad was meticulous in what ever he put his hands to. He was a “jack of all trades”. He took great pride in his work. Dad worked as an electrician until his retirement from the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Cooperation in 1990.
Dad loved the years he and mom spent at the cabin in Heatherton, tending his gardens, fishing, hunting, his woodworking projects; of which there were many. Dad had a theatrical side to him and looked forward to going to musical performances at the Arts and Culture Centre.
Dad….. we will miss your hearty cooked meals, your attempts at telling a story or a joke, the numerous hours of reading stories to your grandchildren, summers at the cabin, numerous family gatherings; most of all your deep love for all of us. Know that your spirit will carry on in all of us. We love you.
Dad was so lovingly cared for by all staff at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre. We can’t thank you enough for your ever present attentiveness to his personal care and medical needs. As so many of you shared with us…. Dad always greeted you in the morning with “ that big smile”. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done for our family.
Cremation will take place. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, there will not be a funeral visitation or funeral service at this time. A “ Celebration of Life” and burial will take place at a later date.
As a family, we would be so happy if you would share with us your favorite memories and stories of dad through a personal message on this website.
In keeping with dad’s caring ways, in lieu of flowers or donations we ask that you lend a helping hand to someone in need or call to check-in with a senior who is living alone or unable to see family at this time.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Henry Harry George McIsaac August 08 1931 May 01 2020..
