Helen Bitz of Saskatoon passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, November 27, 2020. Helen was born in Scott, Saskatchewan on August 3, 1931 to Balzar and Rosalia Lang. She is survived by son, Leslie (Anita) and grandchildren Cooper (Casey), Dieter, and Elyce; son Sheldon (Patrica), and grandchildren Lori (Leif) Johansen, and great-grandchildren Erik and Greta, and Amanda (Andrew) Lemon, and great-grandchildren Leela, Phoebe, and Ren; son Trent and grandchildren Logan, Graeme, and Ryland. Helen is also survived by sisters Lena of Biggar, Saskatchewan, and Francis of Rosetown, Saskatchewan, and brother Pius of Saskatoon. Helen was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Edmund in 2018, father Balzar in 1990, mother Rosalia in 1994, sisters Evelyn in 1992, Betty in 1996 and brother Edward in 2004. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of St. Ann’s Nursing Home for the dedicated care provided to Helen over the years. Due to Covid-19 gathering restrictions a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on behalf of Helen and the Rite of Committal will be held at the graveside at a later date, yet to be determined.
